I can't believe I am in my 25th week already! Scott pointed out the other day that I am almost in my third trimester...wow! We don't have much time left! I like to think I am usually organized and well prepared, but this pregnancy has me crazy! We haven't bought anything except a few outfits I couldn't live without...I can't wait for our showers so I can get everything set up and ready!!!
I've been keeping myself busy by making things for Audrey's room. The letters for her wall turned out so cute!! Since I can laugh at myself I am going to tell you all that while gluing the rhinestones onto the wood letters I accidentally glued the bottle of super glue to my right pointer finger. I wish I could tell you how I managed to do that?!?
And while we are all laughing at how silly pregnancy has made me, I would like to share another story. Now, before I share this I have to ask all my daycare moms who are reading to please not think I am insane and you should still trust me with your child! (LOL...that sounds really bad!) Today at work one of my kids fell and I saw her out of the corner of my eye. I wasn't really sure if she hit her head so I was checking her out and saw what I thought was a broken blood vessel on her nose. I was getting ready to put ice on it in case it was going to swell and Monica (the other girl I work with) pointed out that the "broken blood vessel" was just blueberry apple sauce. I laughed so hard I almost peed...lol. Wow, I love being pregnant!
I have been so forgetful lately that it can be pretty frustrating. When we first found out I was pregnant I bought Scott a book for expectant fathers. He has been faithfully reading his book and seems to enjoy sharing what he is learning. I must have done or said something stupid the other day because this is the response I got from my husband: "You know, my book says not to tell you this, but when your pregnant your brain actually shrinks." Yeah, thanks honey!
Now I have to follow that up with a mention of the cake Scott made me for my birthday...as you can see by the picture he is quite the artist...lol. My husband is such a sweetie! For some reason everytime I upload the pic it wants to be vertical and honestly I am sick of trying to fix it...lol.
One more thing before I go...at 25 weeks the baby is about 13 inches and weighs a pound and a half. Also, the baby has hair now and you can see its color and texture. (With my luck, my little girl will be bald!) I have been feeling so good lately! I can actually stay awake until 10pm now...it's amazing! For the past few days I have been feeling a foot or hand pushing against my ribs and I am trying to decide if Audrey is going to do dance or karate...lol!
I also need to make a correction on my last post. The etsy shop where I got my Maker shirt is http://www.carmelturtle.etsy.com/.
Hope you got a good laugh today! Love you all!
Those letters are adorable!! I've wanted to make Gabbie something like that for a long time :).
ReplyDeleteThats it...i cannot believe I trust you with my children.:) Welcome to motherhood...the land where you cannot remember anything and you vocabulary consist only of "uh-oh" and "oh-no".
ReplyDeleteYou're so silly! I'm so glad you're feeling good now. Enjoy it! Also, if your daughter takes after her grandfather, she'll be bald, LOL. Naw, I'm sure she'll be as beautiful as you were, I mean are! Those letters are so cute and I lmao at the blueberry applesauce!
ReplyDeleteJust remember.....after your first baby, you'll get your mind back. After the second, forget about it, it's gone forever!!!!!!!!
